Golden Age will be participating in the 2008 Pilsen Open Studios, with a new window installation from artist Jihee Kim. Stop by and see what's thriving! Check out the window installation, take a look at some of our new stuff and enjoy a cold beverage.

Pilsen Open Studios is an artist run art walk that takes place during the second weekend in October. Each year artists, galleries, spaces and cafes open their doors during special hours. Over 30 spaces, 60+ artists from May St. to Leavitt St. and from 16th St. to 23rd St. will open their studios to the public.

Today I stumbled upon the All Ages Movement Project, it's "a network of community-based organizations that connect young people through independent music and art." Their website has a directory of all ages organizations around the country and a Resource Wiki about best practices for running spaces. They also recently published a guide on starting community spaces. The all ages movement/scene/whatev in Los Angeles was pretty crucial to my personal development, so it's great to see this. Chicago is majorly lacking in the AMP directory. Go over to the site and add your organization!
