I decided this week that Beyonce is the current leader of pop female vocalists. She's probably as good as Whitney. Maybe better considered Whitney is totally out of commission (even with her upcoming tour approaching). I've been watching clips from The Beyonce Experience and I'm sold. The next time she comes to Chicago I am going. From her all-female band to the horde of dancers to LED stairs, and all that wind! She looks so comfortable on stage. Irreplaceable is the best clip by far. In it,Labels: Beyonce, LED stairs, Martine, Whitney Houston

Chicago Public Library got a new website! It is so awesome. I was complaining about lugging around all my books I need to renew, then I went over to the new site and renewal was but a click away. I was so psyched on CPL that I filled out their online survey. I was a tad over-zealous. I wrote things like "I love the library." and "Long live social programs!" (It's all true though.) I went to the library today. I checked out The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and Unconventional Success: A Fundamental Approach to Personal Investment by David F. Swenson. RULING!

I just had some of the Grolsch left over from our screening the other night and I am feeling it.
Today I bought stationary, read about Fischli/Weiss, and watched 'Mixtape' and 'Driftwood' by Nick Relph and Oliver Payne. I also discovered RSS feeds.
I hope everyone is enjoying this little heat wave we're having.

I met with a wealth management advisor this week. He was from Switzerland and had an amazing green suit on. We assessed my financial goals and discussed how I would achieve these goals. I was familiar with most of the terms he used and asked him very specific questions. When asked how much I spent per month, I pulled out a spreadsheet that tracked my income/expenses for the past five months. When asked how I could improve my spending habits, I pulled out a document that detailed several scenarios and their projected results. He told me he was very proud of me. Then he said, "What was your major in school... business?"
"No," I paused, "ART!" He looked quite surprised. It really made my week. Yeah, go art people! We can do it all!

We're doing some redecorating at the apartment and I wanted to share our new and improved foyer.

I'm very pleased with it. I highly recommend the BABORD shoe rack and the BABORD coat hooks at Ikea. They are winter essentials. We spent a few hours, two meals, and about $100 at the Bolingbrook location on Wednesday. I think Marco only spent like $50 because he stole a few things. Me, I did too much shoplifting in high school. The odds are against me at this point.
In other news, I met Kanye West AGAIN. I've planted the seed, nurtured it, and soon it will blossom to an in-store or an exclusive release. I'm incredibly excited. I'll keep everyone posted.
